Tutorial 4: Photo Retouching

The aim of this tutorial is to get rid of the swimmer and the wording in the photo below.

Step 1: Open this photo in Photoshop. Double click on the background layer in Layer Panel to turn the background layer into Layer 0. Then create a new layer name "Retouching". (The reason of creating a new layer is to remain the original photo while we retouching it so that we no need to worry even if we do any mistake while retouching the photo.)

Step 2: Select Clone Stamp Tool, set the Hardness to around 40%. Select Sample: All layers for the option of Clone Stamp Tool. (This step is to make sure that even if you working on an empty layer, you still can get the sampling from the other layers) Now working on the "Retouching" layer, hold Alt key and click on a sampling from the photo, then release Alt key and click on the part that you try to get rid of.

And this will be the final piece of work. :)
